Components of Language
Spoken language consists of a variety of components. As an educator, having a general understanding of what these components are and what they look like could potentially help you identify typical and atypical language development in your students. If you notice one of your students has a particularly difficult time in these areas, you may want to consider consulting with your school's Speech and Language Pathologist to determine if a language disorder is a possibility.
